Castle Business and Enterprise College, a special school in Leamore, Walsall has been rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted inspectors for the third time in a row.
Inspectors visited the school on 30 January 2018, reporting that the school ‘continues to be outstanding’ and finding that the high-standard of education, teachers’ dedication to students and strong safeguarding culture had been maintained and improved from previous inspections.
The school also received ‘outstanding’ ratings in inspections in both 2013 and 2008.
Councillor Aftab Nawaz, Portfolio Holder for Children’s Services in Walsall said: “I commend Castle Business and Enterprise College on this excellent report. It is a considerable achievement to have been judged as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted for the past 10 years, and Castle’s drive to provide highest-quality education is evident.
“Walsall Council is committed to ensuring all children and young people in the borough progress well through their education. Our special schools are essential for helping children and young people in the borough with special learning and development needs reach their full potential and all Walsall special schools are all rated ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.”
Christine Fraser, Headteacher at Castle Business and Enterprise College, has been in the role for 10 years and said: “We are incredibly proud of our amazing school. The pupils, staff, parents and Governors work together tirelessly to ensure that everyone achieves the very best they can. Our pupils are at the heart of all we do and the smallest achievements are recognised and celebrated.”
