Anthony Martial is expected to sign a new five-and-a-half-year Manchester United contract before the weekend, Sky Sports News understands.
The 23-year-old forward is understood to have reached a final agreement with the club after months of talks and the rejection of an offer last October.
Sky Sports News exclusively broke the news on January 18 that he was close to an agreement over extending his stay at Old Trafford until the summer of 2024.
Martial’s existing deal was set to expire at the end of this season before United activated a year-long extension clause in November.
Former United boss Jose Mourinho was reportedly willing to part with Martial last summer – but later said he wanted the forward to stay after an impressive run of form.
Martial has scored 10 goals in 25 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
United are also making progress on a contract extension for goalkeeper David de Gea, according to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Juan Mata, Ander Herrera and Ashley Young also face uncertain futures with all three out of contract at the end of this season.
